Dan Orlovsky’s brand of football is not just centered with physical strength, brute, and drive; he also gets inspiration from his heart – a heart so big, it pushed him to establish a foundation for children in his hometown, Connecticut.
Orlovsky’s foundation is known for “Helping Kids Reach Their Goal Line.” According to Orlovsky in his interview with New Haven Register, his foundation is “…open to anything to help kids.” The foundation raises money by organizing sporting events, auctions, celebrity galas, and the famous Dan Orlovsky Golf Classic.
Orlovsky currently plays for the National Football League team, Detroit Lions. There, he serves as an able quarterback (since 2005), along with Daunte Culpepper, Drew Henson, and Drew Stanton.
His most memorable day in the NFL for us, his fans, happened on October 12, 2008 – during the match of the Detroit Lions and the Minnesota Vikings. Although his team lost in this match, his record of 12-of-21 passes for 150 yards, with 1 touchdown and no turnovers is still special for us.
