Former Detroit Lions quarterback Dan Orlovsky joined Bill Simonson on “The Huge Show” to talk about his decision to leave Detroit and sign with the Houston Texans.
“I hope and I wish Daunte (Culpepper) the best, but if you put on the game film from last year, it didn’t warrant (the Lions) coming to me and saying ‘Hey, you’re the backup,’” Orlovsky said. “I wanted the opportunity to change things, to compete. I wanted to be in Detroit, but the feeling was not mutual.
“I’m not Tom Brady. I’m not Peyton Manning. But I’m not some slap who can’t play, either.”
