“There’s two reasons really why I want to go back,” he told the Connecticut Post. “I want to be part of change, like I was at UConn. I want to be able to be part of something that I can hang my hat on when I’m 50. And I want to play with Calvin Johnson, so we’ll see. They have a pretty good idea where my mind is, my heart is, but I haven’t said those exact words to them. I’m sure once contract talks get started, I’ll have the opportunity to talk to them.
“People know I want to be back there, but you have to be wanted also. I’m going to do what’s best for me and my family and for my career, so a lot of thought will go into it, but I want the opportunity.”
